UAS Propulsion

The Sleeve Valve Engine type was thoroughly developed as an aircraft powerplant, and achieved great success in this application. By introducing compression ignition and turbocharging SVE Tech will bring the engine into compliance with the “one fuel forward” doctrine and improve operation at higher altitudes, while at the same time reducing fuel consumption compared to alternate systems.

Green Energy

The sleeve valve engine architecture offers advantages over conventional engines with respect to operation on Hydrogen (H2) fuel. This, in turn, enables an Internal Combustion Engine alternative for electrical power generation that favorably competes with fuel cell technology. An excellent application of this involves integration into Class 8 trucks, which can not maintain traditional operations with battery-only power.

Motorsports

The Sleeve valve Engine has been investigated as an alternative power plant for the motorsports industry. It is well suited to installation in motorcycles, and a detailed study was carried for this application in early SV engine history. The inherent safety of diesel fuel is of great interest, and turbo diesel designs are attractive where high power and light weight are desirable. SVE Technology designs can be adapted to motorcycle, snowmobile and personal watercraft applications.

Motor-Generator Systems

The same advantages associated with UAV applications and green energy alternatives can be applied to ground power generation. Independent electrical power generation can be accomplished with traditional fuels or with emergent green technology. Sleeve Valve technology can be applied from low-HP portable gensets up to MWE scale. SVE Tech does not envision displacing all traditional power generation equipment, but in applications where weight and bulk are at a premium this technology is capable of providing needed power.
